Cybercafe Outing Last Saturday

This sat , tennis will be brought to the usual timing of 3 to 5pm. This will then be followed by
1. a swim to cool off
2. going to juns place to watch DVDs
3. going somewhere else and doing something else.

It was a generally cool morning to begin with, the 10am sun smiling gently on the Holland road residents.

Shao came early, and we used the sponge roller to soak up the previous days puddles of water on the court. Jed and Jun came shortly after the court was more or less drier.

Yip met us later at the tennis court for a late morning game till noon. And was it really hot, the blazing heat was at times casting down upon us like a flare spell. Jeds sports attire became totally soaked that he demonstrated by wringing his attire like a wet rag onto the surface. Yes folks.. exercise causes perspiration.

wrapping up the game at 1220ish, a few of us decided to soak in the pool for a short while.. the water was too tempting in its sparkling coolness that i decided to cool off too.

After cleaning up it was lunch time, jed yip and me went to get derrick and shao and jun were to meet us at ginza. edwin and ong would meet us there an hour later after eating.

So began the first lan outing since who knows when on a large scale. 8 people
4v4 in dota. (pictures to arrive.. tho not much)
they gave us our own mousepads (barracuda types)
lan rates were 3 an hour.. which would cause us to pay 11.80 subsequently.
monitors were too big. (giving me and yip a headache)
they had no starcraft. (its a WCG game and it takes up very little space pc requirements.. i just do not understand it, must we all buy the original just to play it?)
and it wasnt crowded.. probably because it wasnt cheap (as initially suspected, kids playing lan are price sensitive)
so in all we paid close to 90 just on the cyber cafe alone.
so thats about 2 original games (2 starcraft battle chest) if we count other expenses.
maybe we all should just buy the original game and play against each other. im sure we would like to see how leet angsana is at this point???

DOTA
i cant play this game. its not noob friendly especially when everyone seems naturally skilled at these games. similarly im not too good at tennis either, its a hand eye coordiation thing which i think im just not inclined towards.. ie i am lousy at it... got owned badly.. i apologise to my teammates who were supportive of me even with my suxxor skills.
dun get me wrong.. i enjoyed playing with you guys and i always will, maybe if we lan again, we need a bit of mixture.. like CS? (i heard theres a famas to use) where its a more common ground,
though i really doubt we will lan again.

ANNEX L (L for lanshop)
it really brought tremendous amouts of flashbacks when we practically camped at BTP playing games.. the multiplayer ness of it all is different from smash and other console games. 8 pple playing at the same time in close proximity? how to compare?
nintendo and soccer was 4 and 5 max so far.
